Woods Gravity Method

Closed system colonics

Gravity vs. machine. At Vitalife we continue to use the Woods Gravity Method because we believe in the gentle power of the gravity system. We have experienced many different methods, but still find gravity-centered colonics deliver the best results. We encourage you to do your own comparison.

The Simplicity and Ease of Woods Gravity

  • The Woods Gravity Method is the original system of colon therapy. The body is more receptive to the gentle flow of water via natural means.
  • During the session, your therapist will gently urge your colon to contract, thereby working in unison with the flow of water.
  • Most people, new to colonics, feel this process is much easier and more relaxing than they anticipate.

The Mechanics of Woods Gravity

  • A 5-gallon (22 liter) tank of water is suspended 3 feet above your body, which will be filled several times during the session.
  • As the water enters your body it will simultaneously exit, thus allowing you to feel an emphasis on the exit rather than the input of water.
  • Your elimination is contained in a closed tube, and you will be covered with a drape sheet for privacy.
  • Vitalife colon therapists are trained to support you, answer your questions, and keep you comfortable during your session.

Speculums and Tubing

  • Our speculums are single use and come in various sizes for ultimate comfort.
  • Surgical disposable tubing conveys water into the body, and water/waste out of the body directly into the plumbing. This tubing is discarded after each client.

Vitalife Colon Therapy

Your colon therapist will be in tune with your body throughout the treatment via abdominal massage and a gentle manual pulsing of the waste tube that carries waste and water out of your body.

Ease of mind

We pride ourselves on sharing an abundance of information during your session regarding food combining, vegetable juicing, exercise, and answering any questions you have regarding our practice. So, while you are having your clean out, you are also learning about your body and its’ mechanics.

Therapists who work here are all living the lifestyle. In other words, “we practice what we preach.”
