The detox superstar!
Coffee enemas are a great way to detoxify the liver, boost immunity, oxygenate the body, and clear up chronic skin conditions. They open up your bile ducts and blood vessels increasing blood flow to the liver. Coffee enemas stimulate glutathione in the liver and increase bile production, which in turn, helps flush your body of toxins. Coffee enemas are becoming the go-to for post chemo relief.
Health benefits
Why coffee enemas?
For many people, the immediate benefit of a coffee enema is having multiple bowel movements that help purge the colon. If you’re experiencing constipation, a coffee enema may bring relief. Having said this, if you use a coffee enema to purge your colon, your liver would be the secondary beneficiary.
Overall liver health?
Paired with a good clean diet, coffee enemas are a good part of a monthly maintenance plan. If performed too frequently, enemas of any kind can cause dehydration – an over-excretion of fluid and electrolytes.
Repair and reboot?
Consider having a colonic or two, followed by coffee enema. A clean, well functioning colon allows the liver to benefit fully from coffee enema treatments.
Additional benefits of using coffee enemas
Removes toxins and cancerous metabolic enzymes, and reduces candida. How? By stimulating the flow of bile from the gallbladder, and increasing the enzymatic action of the liver.
Caffeine exposure causes the liver’s portal veins and bile ducts to expand, thereby increasing the release of diluted toxic bile. The enema fluid triggers peristalsis (intestinal muscle contractions) and efficient removal of waste from the body.
Caffeine and palmitates (chemicals in coffee) work together to stimulate blood flow and cleanse the liver. The caffeine makes its’ way to the liver through bowel absorption via blood vessels in the transverse colon.
The palmitates in coffee stimulate and increase the production of a liver enzyme called glutathione-S-transferase (GST). This enzyme removes free radicals and toxic cells from the bloodstream facilitating a good detox of the liver.
Risks?
For most people, coffee enemas are safe. But like anything we try, there are some risks you need to be aware of. If administered incorrectly at home, or if you have unknown sensitivities, coffee enemas have the potential to be harmful. Below are some of the potential risks:
Tears in the intestinal wall: If performed too frequently or with too large of a volume of fluid, coffee enemas can over-distend your intestines and cause damage to the tissue lining your colon. If you are considering administering them at home, you may want to visit Vitalife for some guidance. Book here for your first coffee enema and speak to your therapist about continuing at home.
Dehydration or electrolyte imbalances: If performed too frequently, enemas of any kind can cause an over-excretion of fluid and electrolytes.
How will you feel after a coffee enema?
Most people feel a sense of energy and alertness after a coffee enema, and a small number of people experience adverse reactions. Reactions are different for everyone. If you have a reaction, it only lasts for a few minutes This could be the case for you if your colon is not clean enough, or if you have a reduced liver/gallbladder function.
Die off symptoms from your toxin release can make you feel nauseous. Rest and relaxation can help you through this short period.
Retention time for coffee enema
Insert, hold, release! 15 minutes / 15 minutes. We split the enema session into two parts giving you the best possible result. The first part ensures the colon is ready, and the second part stimulates the liver. Breaking your session into parts allows for us to closely monitor you throughout the process to minimize any negative outcomes.
